This is based on the view along the road from Charles Town to Harpers Ferry, in Jefferson County, West Virgina. The Harpers Ferry gap in the Blue Ridge Mountains can be seen on the horizon. On the left, just above the tree in the foreground, is the tower of a church in Halltown.
